In its initial design, the building had a centrality that opened onto the avenue of plane trees to the south. The aim is to restore this geometry. Reconstructing this transverse axis: increasing the forecourt on the Voie Royale / bois des sous-officiers side, right up to the sports ring at the edge of the ZAC. The spatial organisation has been designed to restore the link between the Mess and the Bois des sous-officiers. This link will be reinforced by the building's three-storey walkway.
A stylobate has been installed to reinforce the Mess's stature. This architectural device places the main entrance at its centre, and ensures that the other two side entrances, that of the manufacturing laboratory and that of the Toulouse Métropole offices, are clearly visible. This architectural device includes a generous ramp running from the forecourt to the top of the stylobate. A lateral connection on the same level leads back from the eastern façade to the entrance to the tertiary zone, which has already been completed.
